The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of heroes who will split off from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear mismatched, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team understands precisely where to head next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then cleared his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each member has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team enter places they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This means them few options but to head to the remote area in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Seekers and Planners tables.

Viewers can anticipate learning which characters will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
